What is a half-price day?
Also called: half-off day, 50% off day, discount day · Used in United States and Canada
Half-price day is the final day (usually Sunday or the last afternoon) of an estate sale or multi-day garage sale, when the seller marks most remaining items 50% off to clear the house.

What it actually means in practice
For buyers, selection is thinner but big furniture and appliances often go cheap, and some estate companies drop to 75% off in the last hours. Arrive knowing what you still want and be ready to load quickly.
For sellers, say half-price day in your listing and on signs so a second crowd shows up after the early birds. Pair it with bag sales or free boxes in the final hour if you still need the house empty.
