Common questions about planning a garage sale
How far ahead should I plan a garage sale?
Start two to three weeks before. That gives you time to check permit and sign rules, pick a good date, invite neighbours and sort your items without a last-minute rush.
What should I do the day before a garage sale?
Put up your signs where they are allowed, set up tables and anything that can stay out overnight, and charge your phone so you can take card or mobile payments. Have your cash float ready too.
Does the checklist save my progress?
Yes. Your ticks and sale date are saved in this browser, so they are still there when you come back. Use Reset to clear them, or Print checklist to get a paper copy.
